Easter Assembly

Our Easter Assembly will be on Wednesday 29th March at 2pm at the school - all families welcome.

During the day the children will be taking part in various competitions including egg rolling, easter gardens, eggs in space and a cake competition. We will be selling off the cakes after the assembly.

ABOUT

The village of East Anstey is situated on the edge of beautiful Exmoor. There has been a school here since 1880, the School Board concerned having been formed five years earlier.

The Victorian building has, of course, been changed and added to over the years. The school comprises three classrooms, a small hall space, playgrounds and playing fields. Office space and kitchen areas are part of the main building with cloakrooms serving the class spaces.

The number of children attending the school has fluctuated enormously under the influence of changes in the law governing age ranges, rural depopulation, war and the closure of other local schools. In recent years, pupil numbers have averaged 40. We draw from a large rural area stretching from Dulverton to Molland..
