The weeks are now flying by and the end of term creeping ever closer.

There have been lots of events this past week, including the Infant Class trip to Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Bikeability courses and a talk on Fire Safety by the Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

Next week we have:

30 Jun: Move Up Day 2/Year 6 Transition Day to SMCC

1 Jul: Junior Class trip to RHS Rosemoor

ABOUT

The village of East Anstey is situated on the edge of beautiful Exmoor. There has been a school here since 1880, the School Board concerned having been formed five years earlier.

The Victorian building has, of course, been changed and added to over the years. The school comprises three classrooms, a small hall space, playgrounds and playing fields. Office space and kitchen areas are part of the main building with cloakrooms serving the class spaces.

The number of children attending the school has fluctuated enormously under the influence of changes in the law governing age ranges, rural depopulation, war and the closure of other local schools. In recent years, pupil numbers have averaged 40. We draw from a large rural area stretching from Dulverton to Molland..
